Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She currently competes in the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko is a Muay Thai Kickboxer began her career in fight sport at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event with a unanimous victory over Suzane Miller. Antonina kept her winning streak going by winning a silver and bronze medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011 along with the title of 2015 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. In 2012, she took home her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut took place in 2002, during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious by second round TKO and then won the next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled an overall record of 3-1. Shevchenko was a dedicated kickboxer after which she took a lengthy absence in MMA. She returned in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left in 2018 the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior fighting abilities and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi by the unanimous verdict. She then lost her subsequent bout due to the split decision. Antonina recovered from this defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko lost 1-2 over the next three fights beating Ariane Lipski before losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee.
